Typically, we are either a 1 or 2 man pit crew including driver on open lap track days. Usually a 30 or 45 minute break between sessions doesn't allow us any more time than to check tyre pressures, adjust dampers and hopefully not having to repair anything we just broke. No time to pull the laptop out and interpret data from a RaceLogic DriftBox, AiM Solo or even Harry's Lap Timer.
The Garmin Catalyst stood out to us for this very reason. It's ability to give real time feedback, data and delta, on top of a very easy user interface convinced us to make that investment.
With a few sessions held at Sydney Motorsport Park, we've been impressed with how it's helped us become consistent, shave some time and understand where we may be going wrong.
